A Japanese head spa is a deeply relaxing scalp and hair treatment that combines massage techniques with cleansing, exfoliation, and aromatherapy to improve scalp health promote hair growth, and melt away stress. It's like a facial - but for your scalp and hair. 

Regular head spa treatments help with dryness, buildup, hair thinning and loss, and tension. The treatment also boosts circulation, which encourages healthy hair growth and leaves your scalp and mind feeling refreshed. 

Our head spa services do not including blowdrying or styling afterwards. The treatments prioritize hair health, and it is recommended to avoid the use of heat for 24 hours afterwards. You'll leave with clean, refreshed hair that has been towel dried! First time clients even receive a free, take home protective towel wrap to wear out and bring with them to their next appointment!

We recommend coming for a treatment every 4-6 weeks to continue working on your hair goals, support growth, and maintain a healthy scalp.

At this time we only have one head spa room, and can only service one person at a time. If you are looking to come with a friend, you can book two time slots back to back, but each person will need their own individual booking under their own name.

Give your hair 2-3 weeks to grow after shaving. Your hair should be a 1/4" long (or about the length of a grain of rice) so the wax can grip it. Don't do any trimming prior to your wax - we will take care of it!

No need to be fashionable in front of us! We recommend wearing clean, loose, comfortable clothing to avoid friction.

24 hours before your appointment you can gently exfoliate the area to be waxed. On the day of your appointment, skip any products in the area (no lotions, oils, or deodorant). Avoid caffeine and alcohol as they affect the skin and can make your service more uncomfortable. HYDRATE - drink plenty of water within the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. 

Depending on the area that was waxed, not all of these instructions will apply.

For the first 24-48hrs after waxing avoid hot baths or showers, saunas, tight clothing, workouts, direct sunlight, sexual activity, touching the skin, and exfoliation. Be very gentle with your skin during this time as it is sensitive and you want to allow it to heal. 

It takes a few waxes to get all of your hairs on the same growth pattern. With a little bit of time, everything will start to grow at the same rate and you will achieve silky smooth results. Stick with it!

All services at Bare All Beauty are by appointment only. We require appointments to be booked with a minimum of 24 hour notice, and do not take walk ins. 

To keep the environment peaceful and private, we ask that only the client receiving the service enters the treatment room. However, we do have a lobby if your companion would like to come in and wait for you!
